About me

Every day I collect and I create. The wonders of nature I notice around me can themselves become art and moss, skulls or dead insects my materials. Or they serve as inspiration for detailed, hyperrealistic works I create with pencil or yarn. It was poverty that originally turned me to using colored pencils, but today I enjoy the challenge of creating complex works with simple materials.

In my paintings, embroideries or beaded skulls, beauty blends sometimes with pain, sometimes with creepiness, sometimes with a touch of whimsy – just like in life itself.

Born and raised in Iran, I have spent my adult life in Vienna, finding inspirations and materials in the city’s streets, parks or surrounding forests.
